FROM STAFF REPORTS

Apple Valley-based Mojave Desert Animal Rescue has been honored with a 2012 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits.org, which provides user reviews
about nonprofits.

“We are excited to be named a Top-Rated 2012 Nonprofit,” said Annie Lancaster, director of Mojave Desert Animal Rescue. “We are proud of our accomplishments this year, including expanding our pet food bank to continue-and expand feeding the pets of homeless, indigent, and disabled pet
guardians in the Victor Valley, in addition to providing vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and emergency veterinary care to many program recipients, free of charge.”

The reviews are written by volunteers, donors and clients.
